Intro - Who will be the NBA Elite in the 2009-2010 NBA season?

Published by mrhobbie at 11:13 am under Uncategorized Edit This

With the 2008-2009 NBA season history, we will now preview what each team must prepare for next season if they want a shot at the 2009-2010 NBA trophy. Unless some drastic moves are made by some teams, at this moment it looks like next years contenders will be the NBA Champion L.A. Lakers, Boston Celtics once again, the Cleveland Cavs and the Orlando Magic.

Of course it is way too early to predict anything for next season as lots of moves are yet to be made but for some reason I see a 2009-2010 NBA Finals with the Lakers and the Celtics going at it. Then again, maybe it’s just what I want to see! Wouldn’t it be great to see the champs taking on a fully rostered Celtic team. Yes, that means Kevin Garnett has to be playing!

The Orlando Magic surprised everyone by getting past Lebron James and the Cavs and I see them as being one of the superior teams next season but I do not see them getting any farther than they did. Dwight Howard will still only be 23 years old when the 2009-2010 season starts and he still has some years before he can lead a NBA team to a championship.

The Cavs are one man short. I mean, if they can get one more key role player to help out Lebron James then they will have a good shot to knock out a fully rostered Celtics or Lakers team but if everyone tries to depend on Lebron again next season it will be the same results; a good hyped up season with no NBA trophy.

The Celtics are the Celtics and will be great again next season. The key for them is to have everyone healthy especially during playoff time.

The NBA champion Lakers will need to make sure that they keep the core of their roster in tact and they will be right there in the NBA Finals again next season. They have possibly the greatest player of all time in Kobe Bryant and face Western Conference competition that  lacks the elite status like the Lakers.

So, stay with us and read our blog during this off season as we will go through team by team  as see what they need to do, their strengths and their weaknesses.

We will also cover any off season NBA news!
