Indiana Pacers 2009-2010 Preview
The Indiana Pacers finished last season 36-46 but missed the playoffs by 3 games behind Detroit. If they could have played a little better on the road things could have been a little different for them. They were 11-30, the second worst road record in the East.
The Pacers have become Danny Granger’s team as he improves year after year. Last season he averaged 25.8 PPG. Obviously the Pacers need a little help for Granger because last seasons squad was just not doing it.
They picked up Dahntay Jones from the Denver Nuggets. Jones of course is most known for tripping up Kobe Bryant during last seasons Western Conforence Finals as his Nuggets battled the Lakers. Jones though is a great defender with some offensive punch to his game and should be an asset to the Pacers.
The Pacers are hoping that Mike Dunleavy can make a healthy return from his surgery and hope to keep Jarrett Jack and Marquis Daniels on the team.
With all of that being said the Pacers can be a real improved team next season that can make the playoffs but most probably will not get to far unless Reggie Miller re-joins the team. Maybe Larry Bird can suit up too. Seriously, I see them winning 42 games in the regular season tops.
